Baseword is an educational word puzzle game where you unscramble words to repair "data tracks" - passages from real Wikipedia articles about science, history, astronomy, geography, and more. Learn fascinating facts while having fun!

How do I play? expand_more

Each data track contains a passage with missing words. You'll see scrambled letters below - tap them in the correct order to spell the missing word. Complete all words in a data track to earn credits!

Use hints if you get stuck, and shuffle the letters if you need a fresh perspective.

What are credits? expand_more

Credits are the in-game currency you earn by solving words and completing data tracks. The more difficult the word, the more credits you earn. You can use credits to unlock badges and climb the global leaderboard.

What are badges? expand_more

Badges are collectible achievements you can unlock with your earned credits. Each badge features unique space-themed artwork and can be set as your profile avatar. Collect them all!

What is the Daily Track? expand_more

The Daily Track is a special data track that changes every day. Complete it to maintain your streak and earn bonus credits. It's the same for all players worldwide, so you can compete with friends!

How do hints work? expand_more

Each game gives you a set number of free hints. Using a hint reveals the next correct letter in the word. If you run out of free hints, you can use any saved hints you've accumulated.

Use hints wisely - they can help when you're stuck, but using fewer hints earns you more credits!

Yes! Baseword is free to download and play. You can enjoy unlimited data tracks, compete on the leaderboard, and unlock badges - all without spending any money.

What languages is Baseword available in? expand_more

Baseword is currently available in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. We're working on adding more languages in the future!

How do I sync my progress across devices? expand_more

Sign in with your Google, Facebook, or Apple account to sync your progress across all your devices. Your credits, badges, and mission history will be saved to your account.

Where does the content come from? expand_more

All data tracks are sourced from Wikipedia articles, ensuring you're learning real, verified facts about the universe. Topics range from astronomy and space exploration to history, science, and geography.

How do I delete my account? expand_more

To delete your account:

1. Select the user settings icon on the home page
2. Scroll to delete account
3. Select "confirm" and then "ok" on the confirmation dialog

Your data will be deleted along with your account.
